Multi-specialty hospital Project Case Studies

A fully operational, multi-specialty hospital built over 430,000 sq.m. sought BIM-based modelling for the entire project site. The site encompassed a Hospital Building, Outpatient clinic, Central service building, multi-level & underground car parking and other ancillary buildings.

Challenge: The Hospital operations team has limited time to respond to repair and maintenance requests. With just CAD drawings, the process was time and labor intensive.
Solution: Excelize stepped in to offer an integrated 3D BIM + Facilities Management (FM) solution, meant to be functional for the next 2 decades.
This involved:
1. Building the as-Build Model completely with Asset tagging: up to LOD 500 for architecture, structure, MEPF components, hospital utilities, façade, landscape, interior finishes, medical equipment and FFE based on CAD files and manufacturer’s data sheets and maintaining it.
2. Creation of the asset management strategy based on the actual maintenance process used by the FM team to maintain the hospital and ancillary buildings.
3. Organizing training sessions for design, engineering, maintenance and FM teams to use the model for locating assets, retrieving asset data, concurrent and future updates to the BIM model
